Cardfight Vanguard Deck Tech – Minerva

By Serena L.

Stand Up! Vanguard!

It’s Serena! And this time I brought you a blast from the past: it’s time for a deck tech on one of the Encounter decks and fan favorite unit, Minerva. Like the Chronojet Stride Deck we’ve talked about previously, Minerva and her support cards are from older versions of Vanguard that were all given Overdress facelifts for the standard format. This deck centers around the Clans of older Cardfight Vanguard formats, specifically around the Clan Genesis. Genesis is one of the Clans that formed Keter Sanctuary but many of the cards specifically look for things with just Genesis as it’s Clan, so I’ll be referring to those as ‘Genesis units’. You can play any Keter Sanctuary card in a Overdress Genesis based deck like this, but they might complicate things if they aren’t also a Genesis unit.

Alela, Cunning Conqueror Flash Faeries Deck Tech

Stand up! ….Commander? Wait, that’s not right! Let’s try that again!
What angel wakes me from my flowery bed?

Hey guys, it’s Serena, back with another article. This time, we’re doing something a little different, as this article will be on my absolute favorite Magic: the Gathering tribe, faeries, in Commander. Here’s what I’m using through Wilds of Eldraine.

Universus MHA Format Mirio Deck Tech

With the release of Undaunted Raid, many new characters joined the fight in Universus. While several of them are already seeing competitive play, this focuses on Lemillion of the Big 3, Mirio Togata. With a straight-forward kit and powerful abilities, Mirio is a great deck for a player new to competitive play.

Mirio Universus character card

Mirio’s main ability works on Punch and Slam attacks. While there are options on all 3 of his symbols, this deck is build on Good. This gives the potential for a more aggressive build, although you still need to wait for the right time to go for the kill. You can find this deck list at UVS Ultra.

How to Play Disney Lorcana

Disney Lorcana by Ravensburger is a game where two or more players summon various Disney heroes and villains to be the first to collect 20 pieces of lore. As the game takes place in an original setting, characters from many different properties can make an appearance, often in the same deck!

Various cards for Lorcana

The game uses 3 main types of cards: Characters, Items, and Actions. Characters collect Lore as well as challenge opposing characters. Items give access to powerful abilities. Actions are one-time effects that are discarded as soon as they’re resolved. Songs are a special type of action card that can be used for free by having a character “sing” it.

Cardfight Vanguard Deck Tech – Nightmare Dolls

Stand up! Vanguard!

It’s Serena and it’s time for that next V format article I promised! This time we’re covering Nightmare Dolls, part of the Pale Moon Circus. This is what players would know as a ‘tribal’ strategy, or a deck built around a specific subtype of unit. In this case, all Nightmare Dolls are ‘Workeroids’. These living dolls utilize the Imaginary Gift markers for ‘Accel’. Like Bermuda Triangle’s Force markers, these are generated when you ride a grade 3 with the Accel symbol. However, the effect of the Accel markers are unique. There are two types of Accel markers, Accel 1 and Accel 2. Both let you generate new front row rear-guard circles! Accel 1 also gives the unit placed on this new circle 10k power on your turn. Accel 2 only gives them 5k, but you get to draw a card. Now, on to the profile!

Electrogenesis/Dynamotor Electric Pokemon Standard Deck Tech

The Pokemon TCG, if you will excuse the pun, evolved over the years. What was once a top-tier, tournament winning deck is now easily swept aside. Part of this is due to power creep, but most is simply due to there being more options. There are two ways to handle this: continually tinker with your deck to make sure it remains viable, or make whatever you want because it sounds fun. I opted to do the latter.
