FAB Breakdown

Welcome to the FAB Breakdown, a series focused on Flesh and Blood TCG from Legend Story Studios (LSS). The FAB Breakdown covers current news, deck techs, interviews from key people in the Flesh and Blood community, as well as engaging in giveaways and community activities. I do my best to stay up-to-date and informed on all topics but offer my unique perspective.

In the first FAB Breakdown I review the announcement for LSS regarding Welcome to Rathe reaching it’s end and a special celebration to be held at local game stores at the end of January 2022 – Farewell Welcome to Rathe.

In this week’s episode I breakdown the new announcement for LSS regarding what we know about the Pro Quests for the Pro Tour #1 in April of 2022. I also breakdown my Viserai OTK (One Turn Kill) Blitz deck (deck list) that I am playing at a local Armory event at Moosnshot Games.

I breakdown the prizes for the Pro Quests taking place in 2022 at local game stores and I break down the just announced January Armory Kits that contain two new cards possibly from the upcoming release of Everfest.

Storing and Organizing Your Flesh and Blood Cards

The Flesh and Blood Trading Card Game was introduced in 2019 with a set called Welcome to Rathe. With additional card sets, a complete FAB collection, through the Tales of Aria set, is around 3,100 cards assuming you collect three cards of each of the color-coded cards (pitch count). With a full collection, you can quickly build a blitz or classic constructed deck for your upcoming event, and easily adjust your deck as the meta evolves.

In the video below I discuss a few of the methods for storing and organizing FAB cards. I highlight the BCW 3,200 Card Bin, and how I organize the collection using the bin’s partitions and Tall Card Dividers. Further below I list additional storage options from BCW Supplies.

Flesh and Blood Kano Deck Tech

With the Flesh and Blood US Nationals right around the corner and many players only running 1 or 2 Arcane Barrier in their list, Nationals might be the best event to catch players off guard with Kano. I sat with my testing partner Will and talked about his current take on classic constructed Kano and why this may be the best time to jam it at Nationals. This deck takes a lot of practice to learn all the lines and ways to push damage. Here’s a deck tech with a few helpful tips for how to succeed if you’re thinking about catching everyone off guard with Kano at your next event, even if that event is Nationals.

Flesh and Blood TCG – How to Build Your Best Deck in a Sealed Format Event

When you’re playing in a Flesh and Blood Sealed Deck event, you have to quickly construct your 30 card deck. You’re provided with six sealed packs of cards, and have about 15 minutes to build your deck. How do you quickly organize your cards and determine what deck to build? I discuss my system and provide a few tips to help make the best deck possible. I’m using Tales of Aria packs, as I’m preparing for The Calling Sealed events in Dallas and Cincinnati.

Flesh and Blood TCG, Tales of Aria Release and Banned Cards

In this episode of “Getting Into Flesh and Blood”, we discuss the cards that were recently banned by Legend Story Studios. We then talk about what to expect from the Tales of Aria release, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24th. Finally, we consider what hero will become the dominant force after the Tales of Aria release and the banned cards.

Please respond to my related tweet and let me know what hero you think will become the strongest, and how the meta has changed.

Flesh and Blood TCG – Refined Dash Deck Tech

I’ll be traveling to Las Vegas for the first Calling event in the US, September 10-12. I’ll likely be playing this Dash deck (listed below). This deck tech has been refined from my original Dash Deck Tech, as I’ve gained experience and adjusted for the meta I expect to see in Vegas.

Follow me on Twitter to track how the weekend evolves at The Calling. I plan to compete in the Friday Tales of Aria “First Look” sealed event, and then the Saturday The Calling main event. Hopefully I’ll advance to Day 2 of The Calling, but if not, I’ll play in the Pro Quest Sunday event.
