Flesh and Blood Viserai Deck Tech

Here’s the Flesh and Blood TCG Viserai classic constructed deck I played to a 3-1 finish at the October 17th Sunday Daily Double during The Calling in Dallas. See the deck list below. I discuss the exact deck I played in Dallas, and then kick around some improvements.

This was the first test run of the deck idea using Rosetta Thorn and trying to go wide while making Runechants to help chip with split damage. I play this deck with blocking as little as possible since I want to keep and play as many cards each turn that I could. After playing several rounds with the deck and getting a feel for the SB there will be changes made to this deck.

The SB was set up with the following ideas in mind:

  1. For match ups like Katsu, Bravo, Dori, and Lexi, I would bring in the 4 Def Reacts and cut some block 2 cards I was shaving cards rather than removing.
  2. Against Prism, all the 6+ power cards in the SB came in and I would cut a 3 Read the Runes and Spellblade Assault.
  3. Against any deck that really wants to keep an arsenal (Katsu, Bravo, Boltyn, both Rangers), I would bring in the CNC and cut Spellblade Assault.
  4. Against any deck that I felt would run big Def Reacts (Bravo, Katsu if I knew it was not an aggressive build, Uldhim), I would bring in the 2 Oath of the Arknight to help pump an attack and not cut anything from them. I feel you can just run 62 cards if you like the idea but I felt the cost to play the card was rough since the main plan is to attack as many times in a turn as you can.
  5. I would bring in Tome of Fyendal when I was in a race just for some extra card draw as well as the life gain (Chane, Katsu, Boltyn, Briar, Dori).
