How Can I Get BCW Products Outside of the USA Without Excessive Shipping Expenses?
BCW sends parcels, and larger freight deliveries, from our warehouse in Indiana using UPS, FedEx, and multiple freight delivery companies. As such, our shipping expenses within the 48 contiguous United States are reasonably priced, based on the rates of those delivery companies. We can even offer Free Shipping on domestic deliveries on larger orders (details can be found on the free shipping page), however Free Shipping is not possible for deliveries outside the 48 contiguous United States. Shipping rates on international deliveries (plus Alaska and Hawaii) are notably more expensive than domestic deliveries. Our website will calculate a shipping price for most international addresses, and we understand the international shipping expenses can make it prohibitive to get BCW products delivered beyond the USA. However, there are solutions for many international customers to get BCW products at affordable prices.
Distribution Networks
There are many BCW distributors outside of the USA. Some of the distributors sell directly to consumers, some only sell to retailers in their region, while a few BCW distributors sell to both consumers and retailers. This simply depends upon their business model. As an example, BCW currently has three distributors in Canada (Grosnor, Dynamic, and Universal). Those three distributors only sell to retailers. So if you are a collector in Canada, you cannot order directly from the distributor. However you can go to your local hobby shop and request the BCW products you want. If the store does not already have those items in inventory, they can order the products from one of those three distributors. This distribution system will take longer for you to get the products you want, but that’s the method to get the products without paying the shipping costs of ordering directly from BCW Supplies. To simplify this process, Grosnor Distribution lists their retailers to help you find your closest retailer in their network. View the BCW Distributor List to see if there’s a company serving your region. Some of the listed distributors sell directly to consumers, such as 643 Doubleplay Collectables for orders in the United Kingdom.
Freight Fowarding Services
In some instances, international companies utilize freight forwarding companies to control shipping expenses. As an example, a BCW wholesale customer wants a pallet of products delivered to Singapore. BCW can ship the pallet to a freight forwarding company in California for free, assuming the order reached the Free Shipping threshold. Then the freight forwarding company can complete the delivery of the pallet from California to Singapore. BCW takes responsibility of the delivery to the freight forwarding company, and then the forwarding company is responsible for the shipment after that point. BCW has retail customers all around the globe that use this system.
