How Do You Organize Your Pokémon Card Collection?
What’s the best method to sort, store and catalog a large Pokémon card collection? Reddit user HighwayForward shared his system.
I store all bulk in numerical order in a Card House. Each individual card is sleeved straight out of the pack. Full arts are also put in toploaders and stored in the 2-Row Shoe Box viewed on top, as the rows in that box are wider to accommodate toploaders.
As I open packs, I penny sleeve each card and sort numerically using this tray. Don’t know how I used to do it without the tray to be honest. Such a game changer!
Finally, as I am putting the cards away from the tray into boxes (or binders, as I do have a few for master sets) I catalog everything on my inventory spreadsheet. I use Bulbapedia to copy and paste specific set card numbers and names into a new sheet and then input the rest of the information from there.

I’m definitely showing this to my kid. You can’t believe how he just leaves the card collection in stacks in his drawer! He asks me every so often to buy him from a store that sells pokemon cards near me in AZ: https://largerthanlifetoys.com/products/sell-pokemon-cards-near-me only to find them so disorganized! Thanks for this and I’ll make him take care of card collection!
I better get that tray from https://largerthanlifetoys.com/products/sell-pokemon-cards-near-me , a store that sells Pokemon cards near me here in NYC. I see my son organizing his cards at night and he lays them all flat on the floor. At least with this tray he can do it on his bed of study table if it’s free.
I mean a binder a small one not big cases
