In August of 2015, BCW introduces a new line of gaming card storage supplies at GenCon. The initial offering is comprised of seven different products in five different colors. Demand for the new gaming products are immediate and additional items are developed. In January of 2017, ACD Distribution joins the ranks of Authorized BCW Distributors. This marks the first time a distributor specific to the gaming industry has offered BCW brand product, thus further establishing the BCW brand within the gaming market.
In March of 1999, BCW launches its consumer web site, www.bcwsupplies.com. A little more than four years later, in August of 2003, BCW launches its wholesale web site. Then, in October of 2005, bcwsupplies.com begins offering free shipping to consumers on qualified orders. In January of 2010, BCW introduces a free shipping program to retailers which insures parity pricing for all customer segments. Response to the free shipping programs is tremendous and once again BCW brand hobby supplies are prominent in the marketplace.
Baseball Card World, Inc. becomes BCW Diversified, Inc. under the direction of the new owner and former employee, Jay Brownell. The name change is intended to better lend itself to industries outside of the hobby while maintaining its brand in the collectible supply business. In March of 1998, Jay Brownell’s son Eric, having graduated from Ball State University with a degree in marketing, joins BCW. Recognizing the potential of the internet, Eric sets out to develop an ecommerce website and broaden the range of products offered to become a full-line brand of hobby supplies. And, in August of 2009, Eric Brownell succeeds his father as President of BCW Diversified, Inc.
Having exhibited at baseball card shows around the country, offering baseball cards and hobby supplies, Scott Kruger and his father Jerry create Baseball Card World. Less than two years later, now focusing on mail order fulfillment, Baseball Card World establishes a warehouse with several full-time employees. In 1987, Jerry Kruger resigns his position as a supervisor at General Motors to manage Baseball Card World and manufacture BCW brand 9-pocket pages. In 1989, Baseball Card World becomes Baseball Card World, Inc., and in 1991 Baseball Card World, Inc. is ranked #121 by INC. 500 magazine in the list of the top 500 fastest growing companies in America.
