Storing and Organizing Your Exceed Fighting System Cards

The Exceed Fighting System is a card game produced by Level 99 Games that emulates the action and strategy of 2d fighting games. Exceed is released in “seasons”, with each season having a number of characters packed in sets of 4. Each character has a fixed deck, containing basic attacks shared by every character, several special attacks, as well as any other supplements required. For more information, see the How to Play video below.

Each character deck will have an associated tuck box, which is large enough to hold the deck even when sleeved. Keeping the decks in the respective boxes is a great way to keep things organized. Keeping the decks organized can be an issue. While the season boxes are usable, the size is inconvenient, and has a lot of dead space within.

A popular way to hold the decks without the tuck boxes is to use a card storage box. The 400 Count Storage Box is a popular choice, as each box should hold about 8 decks. Likewise, the 800 Count Box should hold 16 decks. These will require using dividers to keep the decks separate. A Prime X4 Box will hold 4 decks, along with arena cards and counters to make play easier.

If you want to use cardboard boxes for decks with tuck boxes, the 330 Count Storage Box will hold 5 decks. For larger, more storage based options, the 14″ Toploader Storage Box is able to hold 13 decks. The popular Shoe Storage Box will hold 26.

Another solution would be to use the 3 Row Card Game Box. It can hold 33 decks in tuck boxes, with a small amount of room to spare. Another option would be the 1600 Card Bin, able to hold 28 decks while remaining easy to transport, while the larger 3200 Card Bin can hold 54 decks.

Whether you prefer rushdown, stance, or puppet characters, or just enjoy games that are easy to learn with surprising depth, Exceed is worth a look. Each year gives another release, and with a rotating format, the game remains fresh.
