Protecting and Storing Your Flesh and Blood Cards

Released in October 2019 by Legend Story Studios, Flesh and Blood quickly became a smash hit, appealing to both players and collectors. The first game by the studio, Flesh and Blood is proving to be one of the most exciting new releases in recent memory.

At the most basic, Flesh and Blood is a dueling game. Players represent one of several unique heroes, use various equipment, and exchange attacks until one player deals the fatal blow. On the surface, the game is deceptively simple, but as you dig deeper into the mechanics, the complexity grows without becoming overwhelming. A quick how to play video can be found below.

Single card prices for the game can be quite high, and likely to raise even more, so protecting your cards is a must, even if your focus is on playing more than collecting. Double sleeving would be the most ideal, but at minimum I would suggest using a high-quality sleeve like the Elite 2 Deck Guards. As hero and equipment cards are not added to the deck, the sleeves for them can be a different color to make setup easier, or even placed in toploaders for added protection.

Since the game has two main formats, each with slightly different deck construction rules, Blitz and Classic Constructed. Blitz is a faster, smaller game intended for social play at your FLGS, while Classic Constructed is the full experience, and the basis for competitive play. You can find specifics of the official formats here. The Deck Case LX would be ideal if you mostly play Blitz, while the Deck Vault 100 would be ideal for Constructed, giving plenty of room for your deck, along with any tokens and counters you may need. Of course, if you play both, and have different decks for them, you may find the Prime X-4 to be more to your liking.

As with other card games, storage is something to consider. As the game is still fairly young, our cardboard storage boxes may fit your needs just fine. As the game expands and becomes more easily found in shops, extra storage space will become necessary. The Collectible Card Bin is a sturdy, secure way to store and protect your cards, and the movable partitions will let you size the cells to fit the size of your collection. It also holds magnetic and topload holders, so it will let you store cards you want to ensure are protected.
