What Size of Card Dividers Are Needed for the Various BCW Boxes?
BCW offers numerous boxes to store trading cards. Some of these boxes were designed for loose or sleeved cards, while other boxes have taller and wider rows to accommodate cards in toploaders and other holders. Some boxes store the cards horizontally, while other boxes orient the cards vertically. If you want to organize your card collection with dividers, how do you know which dividers to use for your boxes?
BCW offers four sizes of card dividers and you’ll want to get dividers that are the correct size for your boxes. The four sizes of BCW Card Dividers are listed below, along with their compatible card boxes.
Horizontal Trading Card Dividers
1-TCD-H, 10 dividers per pack
3 11/16″ x 2 11/16″ when the tab is folded down
These dividers are best for the boxes that store cards horizontally, as listed below. The index tabs on these dividers can fold down to fit under the lid of closed boxes.
- 100 ct. Box, 1-BX-100
- 200 ct. Box, 1-BX-200
- 300 ct. Box, 1-BX-300
- 330 ct. Box, 1-BX-330
- 400 ct. Box, 1-BX-400
- 500 ct. Box, 1-BX-500
- 550 ct. Box, 1-BX-550
- 660 ct. Box, 1-BX-660
- 1000 ct. Box, 1-BX-G1000
- 800 ct Box (1 piece design), 1-BX-800
- 800 ct. Box (2 piece design, removable lid), 1-BX-802
- 930 ct. Box, 1-BX-930
- 3 Row Card Game Box (3 rows), 1-CGB-BLK
Vertical Trading Card Dividers
1-TCD, 10 dividers per pack
2 11/16″ x 3 13/16″
The regular, vertical Trading Card Dividers are recommended for these boxes designed to hold loose or sleeved cards:
- Monster Card Box (3200 cards, 4 rows), 1-BX-MON
- 3200 Card Box (4 rows, full lid), 1-BX-3200
- Super Monster Card Box (5000 cards, 5 rows), 1-BX-SMON
- 5000 Card Box (5 rows, full lid), 1-BX-5000
Vertical, Tall Trading Card Dividers
1-TCD-TALL, 10 dividers per pack,
2 11/16″ x 4 1/4″
For cards stored in toploaders you’ll want boxes with wider and taller rows to accommodate those holders. Therefore you’ll need taller dividers so the tabs are visible above the toploaders. BCW Tall Card Dividers are not tall enough to divide a collection in magnetic card holders. These boxes are best for toploader storage:
- Shoe Card Box (2 rows), 1-BX-SHOE
- Super Shoe Card Box (3 rows), 1-BX-SSHOE
- 1,600 ct. Card Bin (2 rows, plastic), 1-CCB-1600
- 3,200 ct. Card Bin (4 rows, plastic), 1-CCB-3200
- 6-Drawer Card Catalog – Black (6 drawers, plastic), 1-CCAT-BLK
Graded Card Dividers
1-TCD-G, 10 dividers per pack
3 1/4″ x 5 11/16″
Graded Card Dividers work great with the standard slabs from PSA, Beckett, SGC, CSG, HGA, and ISA. They have plenty of space to label the top, but short enough to fit under the lids of closed Super Vaults and Graded Shoe Boxes. Use these dividers with:
- Super Vault Boxes (1 row), 1-BX-SVAULT
- Graded Shoe Boxes (2 rows), 1-BX-GSB
BCW dividers are made from polyethylene, an acid-free (archival-safe) plastic. A fine tip permanent marker is recommended to label your dividers, although some label machines work great too. To keep your cards upright if the box is not full yet, try BCW Monster Pads (1-MPAD).

NEED DIVIDERS FOR GRADED BASEBALL CARDS
That’s a good idea. We’ll keep an eye on this topic, and if there’s enough interest, we’ll manufacture those. At this time, our best recommendation is to trim down some board or our Postcard Dividers: https://www.bcwsupplies.com/postcard-box-dividers
Ditto, would be great to purchase dividers for graded cards off the shelf rather than trying to customize something.
they need to hire a product manager who knows what they’re doing
After I gave our Product Manager more feedback, he took quick action to get Graded Card Dividers into production. However it will be several months until these are available on our website. Thanks
I’d love dividers that are tall enough for graded cards too, the tall ones are just not tall enough.
I shared your idea with our New Product Manager. Thanks
its so weird they dont have dividers for graded shoe box as they make those products.
We’re taking action on this product idea, but it will be several months before these are available.
It’s probably been brought up or thought of.. I would guess graded card dividers aren’t flying off the shelf as the others. But if you have 100s of PSA sgc etf I feel you.
Appreciate all of you at bcw
