Inquisitor Greyfax buffs all your other creatures as well as giving vigilance. This makes a good base for a tokens deck, supported by the many creatures with the new Squad keyword. This gives a fairly straight-forward play style that would work well for newer players. The alternate commander, Marneus Calgar, also rewards tokens while also giving a way to make tokens.

Many of the cards are focused on the Squad mechanic. This lets you pay an extra cost when casting the creature to create a token copy when it enters play. Many also have the Miracle keyword, helping accelerate the deck. A great example of a creature with Squad is Sicarian Infiltrator, with each copy drawing a card when it enters play.

Vexilus Praetor is a very powerful defense for your commander. It gives your commanders Protection from everything at instant speed. This pairs with Bastion Protector, which gives your commanders +2/+2 and indestructible. Between these two, your commander is well protected.

Thunderwolf Cavalry gives each creature you control a +1/+1 counter when it does combat damage to a player. Similarly, Ultramarines Honor Guard gives your other creatures +1/+1 in addition to having the Squad ability. Company Commander creates soldier tokens, as well as giving everything Deathtouch when it attacks. Any or all of these are good inclusions for tokens or anthem decks.

Exterminatus is a board wipe that removes indestructible from opposing permanents. It is significantly more expensive than average however. Hour of Reckoning is another wipe with Convoke that destroys non-token creatures. Launch the Fleet is a sorcery with Strive than can put a lot of tokens into play. Deploy to the Front gives you an amount of soldier tokens equal to the number of creatures in play.

Like the Chaos deck, this includes 3 Talismans of appropriate colors. Also of note are Thunderhawk Gunship and Reaver Titan. The Gunship creatures token creatures and gives your creatures flying when it attacks. Reaver Titan offers a lot of value in is power and defensive abilities.

This deck could be improved by adding anthems. Anything that adds +1/+1 counters en masse could be useful as well. Reaver Titan would be a good card to put into a vehicle or artifact deck, along with Belisarius Cawl. Skullclamp is great for this or any tokens deck.

This deck offers a solid archetype that needs just a little work to work in many pods. The Squad ability can be a great addition to token decks that can afford the extra costs. Overall, this is a good buy for anyone that enjoys Esper.
