Cardfight Vanguard Deck Tech: BanG Dream MyGo!!!

Stand Up! Vanguard!

Hey guys, girls, and gamers! It’s Serena back again, this time bringing you a whole new tune! We’re gonna be going over the popular Cardfight Vanguard BanG Dream collab deck, MyGO!!!!!, which had strong performances in both the English and Japanese metagames. MyGO!!!!! is a deck that can easily swarm with 4-5 attacks by using the Music orders that our main vanguard can search from the deck or drop with units that bind themselves at the end of turn and can be recalled by that same Vanguard! The best part? Each of the proper MyGO!!!!! Rearguards and our grade 3 vanguard all have 2 separate effects each!

Innocent Cry, Tomori Takamatsu card for Cardfight Vanguard

Starting off with our ride deck we have the grade 0 Beginning of Forever, Tomori Takamatsu, who has the standard starter effect. Our grade 1, That’s Like a Shadow of Spring, Tomori Takamatsu, who on riding from the grade 0, searches the deck for a copy of Haruhikagi, one of the music orders. The grade 2, Determination to Move Forward, Tomori Takamatsu, looks at top 7 and grabs a MyGO!!!!! card from them when rode by the grade 3. Lastly, Innocent Cry, Tomori Takamatsu is our grade 3. First, once per turn we can Soulblast 1 to choose one of our MyGO!!!!! units in bind and call it, but if our opponent is grade 3, we can call 2 instead. Second, if we didn’t play an order during this turn we can Counterblast 1 to get a MyGO!!!!! music order and play it from our deck or drop!

Haruhikage card from Cardfight Vanguard

Since the music orders are so important, let’s start with our order lineup. Now the music orders work a little differently than normal set orders. When we play them, we’re actually placing them in the backrow center rearguard circle. We run 3 Haruhikage, which, when placed on rear, searches our deck and calls out a CRYCHIC unit of our vanguard’s grade or less. Our grade 0 and 1 Vanguards are CRYCHIC actually, but we’ll be calling another who’ll we will get to in the next section. HekitenBansou is the grade 2 and our first MyGO!!!!! music, which we run 3 of, which says when our Tomori Takamatsu vanguard attacks we can stand one of our MyGO!!!!! Rears, and if our opponent is grade 3 or greater, we stand the unit in the same column. Our last music order is Mayoiuta, of which we have 2 copies, and this is how we get our 5 attacks. At the end of our Tomori vanguard’s attack, if we have one of each of the band members of MyGO!!!!!, Anon Chihaya, Rana Kaname, Soyo Nagasaki and Taki Shiina, we pay the cost of discard 1 to stand all our MyGO!!!!! rears and if our opponent is grade 3 or higher they all get +5k for the turn. Finally, we have an Elementaria Sanctitude. I use the original one, but either works and is dependent on your local meta.

Formation of a Common Destiny, Sakiko Togawa from Cardfight Vanguard

Starting off our grade 1s will be that CRYCHIC unit I mentioned above. Our 3 copies of Formation of a Common Destiny, Sakiko Togawa might not be a member of MyGO!!!!!, but she is vital for the deck’s consistency. If she’s placed other than by the ability of a CRYCHIC card, she goes to drop as her first effect. Her second, however, when our non-CRYCHIC unit is placed during our turn, Sakiko goes to soul and draws us a card! Now for the actual MyGO!!!!! units, we will be playing full playsets of each. First up, Overprotective Loner, Taki Shiina, who when she’s placed can SB1 to look at top 3 and grab a MyGO!!!!! music to hand. Her other effect is at the beginning of our guard step when our vanguard is being attacked, we can bind her from rear or hand to give our vanguard +10k for the battle to help us survive. Our next card is As Her True Self, Soyo Nagasaki. On place she gives any of our units +5 for the turn, plus when she boosts a MyGO!!!!! We can SB1 to make our opponent have to guard with two or more cards, then at the end of turn, we bind her. Note that is not a once per turn effect and she binds at end of turn, so on restand turns we can have 2 guard restricts, assuming we have the soul. Rounding out the grade 1s is 3 Irreplaceable Memories, the BanG Dream PG.

Anon Chihaya card from Cardfight Vanguard

Next is our main attacker rearguard, the grade 2 Place That Was Found, Rana Kaname. This is usually who you want to be getting the boost from Soyo, as when she attacks from the front left circle she gains 5k for the turn and she binds herself at the end of turn. Similarly to Soyo, this is not a once per turn effect, and her other effect builds on her restanding swing power, because if she’s stood by a MyGO!!!!! music, she gets to perform drive checks! Our other grade 2 is Scenes That Lies Beyond Advancing without Escape, Anon Chihaya. On place, Anon lets us CB1 to look at the top 5 and call a MyGO!!!!! unit and at the end of the battle Anon attacks from the front right circle, you can bind her to draw a card. All in all, this means your left side should be Rana and Soyo and your right side should be Anon and Taki. Lastly our only grade 3 are persona ride copies of Tomori.

Onto the trigger lineup, we’re on 8 crit 3 front and the ‘blue OT’ Spiritual King of Aquatics, Idolsfaro. You don’t particularly need to run the BanG Dream specific effect crits, but the effect fronts, A Dream-Like Moment, are really good for numbers. The heals I’m using are Yumenokessho POPY which is a generic non-effect heal that can go in any deck. Similarly I’m using my PAREO and Tsukushi BanG Dream crits, but I’d eventually like to pick up the specific special crits of each of Soyo, Anon, Taki and Rana, and up the count of Mayoiuta with this new consistency for the 5 attacks, even if we’re not getting all the effects, because those crits (printed in DZ-BT03) specifically have the names listed for it.

All in all, it’s easy to see why MyGO!!!!! has had the speed and strength to contend at the top tables for quite some time, as it is (barring the special MyGO!!!!! Character crits) cheap and efficient. You can find the full deck list at the Deck Log.

I’m all out of time for today, so for now, this is Serena, signing out!
