Cardfight Vanguard Lascaria Deck Tech

Stand Up! Vanguard!
Hey guys, it’s Serena again, buzzing in to bring you another Cardfight Vanguard deck tech! This time we’re talking about the lovely lady, Lascaria! Debuting in DivineZ’s first full set, Fated Clash, Lascaria is a new Stoicheia deck that focuses on the Veleno Famiglia and their boss, Lascaria and has the ability to use multiple blitz orders in a single turn!

As usual, we’re gonna start with our ride deck. First up, Times of Happiness, Lascaria is the starter for the deck, which has the standard starter ability. Next is Days of Training, Lascaria, who says when she’s rode upon by a grade 2 Lascaria, we search our deck for up to one grade 2 or greater blitz order without Regalis Piece, reveal it and put it to hand before shuffling the deck. Oath Upon Mother’s Sword, Lascaria is our grade 2, who when she’s rode over by a grade 3 Lascaria, lets us look at top 5 of the deck and take one normal unit with Veleno init’s card name or a blitz order and add it to hand, then shuffle. This is particularly nice that it can set up a Persona Ride for the next turn, or enable the grade 3’s passive effect. Speaking of, Sword Princess of Dream Blade, Lascaria Veleno has two effects. The first is a continuous vanguard effect that during our turn, if we have 3 or more Veleno units, all of our Veleno units get +5k power and if we have 5 or more, Lascaria gets a crit! Second, at the end of the battle one of our units was attacked but not hit, if we played a blitz order during that battle, we get to draw a card and if we haven’t CounterCharged yet that turn, the CC1. Note that both of these effects include Lascaria herself. Lastly, we have the Ride Deck Crest of the deck, the Energy Generator, as all decks must now use.

The only grade 1 units we currently run are 3 of the new effect PG, Honeycomb Thyreus and 4 copies of Veleno Famiglia, Fiore. Fiore says when she’s placed on rearguard circle that we can CounterBlast 1 to look at the top 5 of the deck and grab a Veleno unit or a blitz order and add it to hand. She also gets +2k power, both effects if we have a Lascaria vanguard, which we always will. This deck also lives and dies by it’s orders and Veleno units being available, so we also have 4 copies of the recently reprinted grade 1 order Mythiarq Habitat. Habitat will let us look at the top 7 for a unit the same grade or less than our vanguard and call it to rear. It also says that when you would choose or search for a unit card from deck, you can pick it, and if it would be called from deck to rear to add it to hand instead of putting it in drop.

To our grade 2 lineup, we start off with 4 of Valeno Famiglia, Melial, who says when she’s placed on rear and our vanguard is a grade 3 or greater Lascaria, we can discard a card to choose a card with a different name from Melial from drop and call it if it’s a Veleno unit or put it to hand if it’s a blitz order. Next is 4 Hallucinatory Morpho. This beautiful butterfly says when she attacks, she can SoulBlast 1 if we have a blitz order in drop to gain 10k power for the attack. After that we can CB1 and bind her to search our deck for a grade 2 or greater blitz order (again, without Regalis Piece) and put it to our hand. Or, if our drop has a blitz order we can search for either another blitz order or a normal order.

For grade 3s we just have our 3 Persona Ride copies of Lascaria and 4 copies of Veleno Caporegime, Erafus. Erafus says at the end of the battle our grade 3 or greater Lascaria vanguard attacked, if our opponent’s vanguard is grade 3 or greater, we can CB1 to stand him, and if we have at least 3 Veleno units he gets an extra 5k attack, too.
Now I know I included Habitat in our grade 1 units, but now we’re going to move onto our rather robust blitz order package. First things first, we have the ever classic Elementaria Sancitude as our 4th PG. Then we have 3 copies of the grade 2 Sweet Honey Garden which we can play with SB1 to choose one of our units and give it 15k power for the battle, or 25k instead if our drop has a blitz order. Which it probably will. Now, you’re probably wondering how we can play multiple blitz orders like I mentioned at the start? Well that’s to do with our next card, which we play 4 of. Effervescent Shadow Dream Blade isn’t just Lascaria’s signature weapon, but also we can play it for EnergyBlast 2 to give one of our units being attacked an extra 20k power until the end of that battle, and we can play one more blitz order this turn. And yes, it stacks with itself, so you can actually play up to 5 blitz orders in one turn with this!
Finally, for our trigger lineup, we’re on 8 crit. I’m using 4 Aspiring Maiden, Alana, the effect critical, and 4 normal crits in RAISE A SUILEN, PAREO. You don’t have to use these crits, but I just like Pareo and the shininess. We have 3 effect draw triggers with Serene Maiden, Lena and 4 normal heals with Soul Repose Pixy, Petronella. Rounding us out is the Stoicheia OT, Source Dragon Deity of Blessings, Blessfavor.

All in all, Lascaria is a fun deck with an interesting defensive gimmick that can even turn the tide against the Fated One of Zero’s Devine Skill! The deck also picks up a lot more steam when set 2 rolls around when we get 3 more Veleno units, one for each grade. Veleno Soldato, Cidiracka will be a grade 1 that lets us retire him to recycle 2 blitz orders, Veleno Soldato Grudori will be a grade 2 that returns a Veleno from drop to a rearguard circle and can gain 5k power and boost (making it a 20k booster with Lascaria’s passive!) and Veleno Famiglia, Paralise is a grade 3 that can CB 1 to prevent an opponent’s rearguard from standing or intercepting, and some combination of these all will likely be replacing Habitat and Morpho, since we need the Veleno names and these have better synergies with the deck!
I hope you enjoyed this dive into Lascaria and her playstyle! May your dreams find you and your nightmares lose you!
Serena, signing out!
