What Stands Work Best for Your Cards?

Variety of stands with cards in different types of holders,

Protecting and storing your collection is vital, but almost important is displaying pieces you’re most fond of. A popular method is to use a stand to display the card on a desktop or shelf. BCW offers several types of stands, each with slightly different function.

Graded Pokemon card with BCW Small Stand

The BCW Small Stand is perhaps the most basic and easiest option. As it is made of clear plastic with a simple design, it won’t distract from the card being displayed. It holds standard card holders, although thicker holders may have trouble with the design.

The Foldable Card Stand fills a similar purpose as the basic stand, but with a more ornate design and black color. This can enhance the visual appeal of the card, making it feel more special. This stand works well for toploaders, but heavier holders are prone to slipping and falling.

The Pro-Mold Card Holder Stand is a simple yet effective stand. It lifts the card higher than the other stands, giving more separation between the card and the surface. It also features a very stable design. However, it will not hold anything thicker than a standard 35 pt Magnetic Card Holder, so it is unsuitable for thicker cards or holders.

Finally, BCW 2-Piece Stand is the most versatile option. The stand is adjustable, making it able to hold both larger and smaller items. This also gives more flexibility on the display angle, as the other stands are fixed in one alignment. Unfortunately, adjusting the position too much will eventually wear away the plastic, making the back slip out of position.

A question asked of me recently was “Do you have to follow these guidelines?” Ultimately, as long as you’re careful and have a steady hand, any of the holders should meet your needs. I would suggest staying within the guidelines however, as even a small jostle could take down your display otherwise.
