BCW Product Reviews by Tolarian Community College

The opinion of The Professor at Tolarian Community College is trusted by many players in the Magic: The Gathering community. He discusses Magic set releases, Commander decks, supplies, and more. He has reviewed several BCW products over the last few years. Some reviews are below, or visit The Professor’s Youtube channel for all of his videos.

In 2021, The Professor gave the Prism Deck Case an “A” grade. Prisms are part of BCW’s Spectrum brand of gaming products, which includes board game products. Prism Deck Cases are sized to hold 100 double-sleeved cards. They are available in eight colors, and have a matte finish. These are a two-piece, snap-together design.

In 2021, The Professor critiqued the BCW Prime X4 XL Gaming Box. Like the original Prime X4 box, the larger XL version has four cells to hold decks. However in the XL version, the box is taller, so each of the four cells can accommodate MTG Commander decks or constructed Flesh and Blood decks.

In 2020, The Professor gave our Prime X4 Gaming Box an A- grade, and recommended we develop a larger size to accommodate four Commander decks.

Earlier in 2020, The Professor reviewed our Deck Vault 200 and Deck Vault 100 boxes. He graded those similar boxes together, giving them a B+ grade.

In 2015, The Professor reviewed BCW 12-Pocket Z-Folios and 18-Pocket Pro-Pages for 3-ring binders. Since then, BCW has added 9-Pocket Z-Folios, and more colors are available for most of these items.
