Storing Large Card Collections

Do you need to store a large collection of cards? The BCW Card House and Shoe Box House are great solutions.

BCW Shoe House and Card House boxes
The Card House holds twelve 800 Boxes (1-piece) or 802 Boxes (2-piece). The Shoe Box House holds six Shoe Boxes.

The Card House holds twelve 800 ct. Boxes, and these boxes are available in two designs. The 800 ct. Box is a 1-piece design (the lid is attached), and the 802 ct. Box is a 2-piece design (removable lid). These boxes hold the cards in a horizontal format. Each 800 ct. Box stores the named amount of sports cards if the cards are a traditional thickness. However these boxes will hold about 1,140 gaming cards, as gaming cards are normally thinner than sports cards. Therefore the Card House, with its twelve boxes, can hold 9,600 regular sports cards, or 13,680 thinner gaming cards. Naturally these quantities are lower if the cards are sleeved.

To keep the cards organized inside a Card House, we recommend Monster Pads. These are simply foam pads that keep your cards upright if the entire row is not full. A few packs of Horizontal Card Dividers are ideal for categorizing. These dividers have fold-down tabs that fit under the lids of 800 ct. Boxes when closed.

If you store your cards in card holders such as toploaders or magnetics, you’ll want to store your cards in boxes with wide rows to accommodate the holders. A BCW Shoe Box has two wide rows that store the cards vertically. For large collections, a BCW Shoe House holds six Shoe Boxes. A Shoe House holds the same amount of cards as a Card House if the cards are loose. If cards are in standard toploaders, an entire Shoe House can hold about 2,100 cards.

As with the Card House, Monster Pads are recommended for use in a Shoe Box if the rows are not entirely full. For dividers in a Shoe Box, try Tall Card Dividers.
